Things YOU can Control
Remember there are stressors that you have no control over and there are ones you can control.
The top 5 things you can control when it comes to exam anxiety:
- Application Deadlines
- Look up your licensing and/or certification state authority.
Here are NM and TX links as examples:
- Know and be aware of the deadlines regarding application submissions and qualifications.
These will be listed on the state authority's website. If you are not sure, contact the
state authority directly.
- Mark them on a calendar or in your phone calendar with
reminders to
meet them.
- Number of training hours
- Make sure you have the required hours before you apply for the exam.
- Use the tables from the state authority's website to see how many you need.
- If you are short on hours, schedule the classes.
- Calculator readiness
- Make sure you have an approved calculator and know how to use it.
- Daily Study Time
- Set aside time each day to study.
- Use the time to review the material you have learned in class.
